This is a Hoax Very Little People have known. it was a speculated rumor about the 1990 Sega Arcade Game Columns that the letters of the Logo were actually Rocks with gold faces. People who knew about the rumor thought they were actually rocks with gold faces on them, others thought they were actually all gold and weren't rocks. It was confirmed False for a while until 2004.

2004 marked the release of Sega Ages 2500 Vol. 7: Columns, A remake of the Titular 1990 Arcade Game featuring Endless, Vs, And Story Modes. The Columns logo's letters on the title screen had an animation rotating to the front, showing that they are actually rocks with gold faces on them, proving the rumor true after many years of originally being proven false. the Sega Ages 2500 Version of Columns wasn't released outside of Japan until 2005 in the US and 2006 in Europe with the Compilation, Sega Classics Collection, Which Contains this version of Columns alongside other sega ages 2500 versions of games such as Virtua Racing, OutRun, Bonanza Bros and Tant-R, and Fantasy Zone.
