Super Mario Galaxy DS is a fake video game hoax that claims to show a new port of Super Mario Galaxy for the Wii on the DS. Similar to Nintendo On, the trailer to show the fake game was created by video game designer, Pablo Belmonte. Pablo made the video as part of his college video making class. The project was to create a viral video. When the video was first uploaded in 2007, it only got 700,000 views, giving Pablo a "B".
The Youtube video[]
The video shows that if you collect all stars in Super Mario Galaxy for the Wii with Mario and Luigi (240 stars in all) and used the DS' download play feature, you could unlock Super Mario Galaxy DS. Showing off new galaxies and showing how the dual screens on the DS handled the game. Though, collecting all stars in the Wii game as Mario and Luigi doesn't unlock a DS port, you get a postcard that is saved on to your Wii. At the end of the video, the Super Mario Galaxy DS logo is shown, but for a. second, the "e" in the logo is flipped. Possibly to show those who believed the rumor that it was fake.
